What to expect from the Roebling Point Food Tour
ENJOY UNIQUE FOOD & DRINK IN A CHARMING NEIGHBORHOOD ON THE BANKS OF THE OHIO RIVER
How would you like to see beautiful views of the Ohio River, walk upon the Roebling Suspension Bridge, stroll past million dollar historic mansions and enjoy sit down dining in five unique restaurants? We begin our tour dining at an authentic Irish Pub owned by an Irishman. Next we enjoy some locally sourced chicken smoked on site paired with a craft beer brewed right around the corner. You can't get any fresher than that! The next restaurant is famous for it's specially prepared comfort food. Hmmm, I wonder what that could be? Have you heard the fairy tale the Three Billy Goats Gruff? It's the namesake of our fourth restaurant. For the grand finale, do you have a sweet tooth? We have a dessert for you!
The food samplings on this tour are ample for lunch and include a wide variety of dishes to please every guest. Each tasting is served from a locally-owned and operated restaurant which takes pride in utilizing Kentucky Proud products that support nearby farms and businesses. See all Tasting Locations below.
CULTURAL, HISTORIC AND ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIENCES
Between the great tastings, we'll stroll through the Licking Riverside neighborhood, chock full of beautiful mansions dating back from the mid 1800's. For any past Boy Scouts, we have a special surprise for you. We'll view the Ohio River while standing on the Roebling Suspension Bridge, and hear stories about the German immigrants who settled this frontier town and sacrificed their lives building the bridge. Did you know the great flood of 1937 enveloped Covington for weeks? We'll view 18 2-story murals on the colorful flood wall spanning 1,000 feet.
