Experience the Best Food in Covington, KY’s German Village

Explore Covington’s Mainstrasse Village and savor delicious local fare, while strolling through a charming neighborhood with beautiful architecture from the 1800’s. Visit five locally-owned restaurants and even meet a few of the owners and chefs.

We begin at Cedar restaurant, a trendy restaurant that serves the best homemade waffles topped with fried chicken. Enjoy a handcrafted specialty pizza, German pretzels with beer cheese,  Mexican tacos and a variety of other dishes. You’ll love the sample of craft beer at the Cock & Bull Pub!

During our stroll through the neighborhood, hear the history of the German immigrants who settled in Covington and the creation of this charming village. Visit a 100-foot tall Glockenspiel in Goebel Park and visit the town plaza showcasing the Goose Girl Fountain. We stroll under a tree-lined plaza sharing the origins of this historical village, the demise, and the revitalization.

Receive a food guide plus advice from a friendly local guide who is happy to share suggestions of other must-see sites.  Our promise is to leave you full – both mind and body!

Do you like to party? So do we. If you desire, alcoholic beverages are available to purchase at various stops.

PLEASE NOTE: Children 5 + under are free, but do not receive any food tastings. Parents may bring a snack.
