Tour Overview

Bring your appetite for this 3-hour walking and eating tour in Mainstrasse Village located in Covington, Kentucky, just five minutes from downtown Cincinnati. Linger in the German village, soaking up the charm of European architecture, a glockenspiel and the Goose Girl fountain. Indulge in local treats, such as Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese, pizza, waffles with fried chicken, an ice cream dessert and a tasting of local craft beer.

Is This Tour Right For Me?

I enjoy walking as long as it’s not too far.  The Mainstrasse Village Tour is a walking tour.  Enjoy a relaxed pace over the course of 3 hours; less than one mile in distance. We walk a short distance, dine and repeat.  It’s one of the easiest walking tours.

I’ve lived in Cincinnati my whole life, but rarely visit Northern Kentucky. Local residents and visitors will enjoy exploring a quaint neighborhood on the south shores of the Ohio River.  Covington KY has 11 historic neighborhoods with a wide variety of local restaurants, bourbon bars, breweries and distilling companies.  On the Mainstrasse Tour, hear about the best spots in town!

I’m visiting Cincinnati for the first time.  This is the perfect Saturday morning tour to start your visit.  You will be well armed with plenty of information about both cities, so you can make the most of your stay.

I’m looking for a food tour to take my whole family on.  The Mainstrasse Village tour is great for all ages, especially older members who enjoy history.  Covington, like Cincinnati has a strong German history with beautiful architecture.

I like the option of ordering a cocktail, craft beer or glass of wine along the way. We include a small local beer at our third stop.  But guests are welcome to purchase alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages at the other stops.  Ice water is always served to quench your thirst.
