PRIVATE TOURS

Food Tour + Experience

Riverside Food Tours has collaborated with similar small businesses to present a whole new collection of Experiences that can be paired with a food tour.  Below are just a few examples.  You have the option to pick and choose just the right activities to suit your group.  Experiences + Food Tours work best on Tuesday – Thursday afternoons.

1. OTR Let your Light Shine  Create a custom fragrant candle for yourself or as a special gift at The Candle Lab. Their team will walk you through the steps of candle making from choosing a fragrance to pouring the soy oil.  Take a guided tour of Over the Rhine and learn the history of this restored German neighborhood. Enjoy a savory tasting at one or two of the unique restaurants.

2. Cheese, Wine and a Findlay Market Tour  Meet Stephanie Webster, the owner of the Rhined, an artisanal wine and cheese shop. Sample two unique cheeses and 2 wines. Learn what makes Stephanie’s shop different from all the rest!  Stroll through Findlay Market with Riverside Food Tours, as we sample foods from a variety of vendors.

3. Spirits and Brews – Situated in the historic Over-the-Rhine Brewery District, Northern Row Brewery and Distillery occupies a notable pre-prohibition building, constructed in 1895. See and learn how this restored structure was turned into a brewery and a distillery!  Take a tour of Findlay Market and enjoy a variety of tastings.

4. Rookwood Pottery  Take a tour of the Rookwood Pottery facility. Rookwood Pottery was founded in 1880, becoming the first large manufacturing enterprise founded and owned by a woman in the United States!  A Pottery tour can be combined with dining in and around Findlay Market or combined with a brewery tour.

5. Sushi and Suds experience  Do you like Sushi?  Kanji Restaurant, across from Findlay Market offers a wide variety of sushi for a fun learning and tasting experience.  Enjoy a Sam Adams brewery & taproom tour and tasting.

6. Findlay Market Tours, starting as low as $35 each. See and taste your way through this historic market.  Tours are available Tues – Friday for groups of 10-30 guests.  The cost is based on the length of the tour and the number of tastings.

What to expect on a Private Tour

Your group is led by a friendly local guide who takes care of all the details.  You relax and enjoy the fun.  On the tour, your guide will share interesting stories regarding local history, culture, and the architecture in the area.  Your guide will also be snapping photos, which are emailed to everyone in your party.

Private tours can be designed for all age groups and fitness levels.  We will host a private tour for two to fifty or more guests!  The price per person varies and is determined by the choice of and number of food stops, drinks, experiences and length of tour.

You may also turn any of our 10 public tours into a private tour.  Our  public 3 hour food tours are a fun way to visit a number of locally owned restaurants, hear the history of the neighborhood and see the sights.

Rest assured, we can design just the right tour to fit your tastes and interests.  We’ll work together to secure the date and time, and select the restaurants, itinerary and experiences that best suits your needs.

All private tours require a 50% deposit and an additional 15% gratuity for your private guide.
