RIVERSIDE FOOD TOURS – CONGRATULATIONS ON 8 YEARS
It’s hard to believe that today is the 8th anniversary of Riverside Food Tours. We kicked off as a Saturday morning, once a week tour in Mainstrasse Village, Covington KY.
Our initial four tours were fully booked, as we extended free invitations to 32 lucky friends to demonstrate our commitment to our restaurant partners. Convincing restaurant owners of our concept was challenging; We had to show, that if you just trust us, we will bring hundreds of new customers into your establishment. That was our start-up cost. For the remainder of the year, we offered 50% off, in order to spread the word and garner reviews.
Out of the first five restaurants in 2016, Piper’s Ice Cream Bar, Cock and Bull and Goodfellas Pizza remain. Sadly, we have seen a number of restaurants open and close, like Main Bite and Bean Haus.
Fast forward to 2024. A lot has changed in 8 short years. We offer 10 different tours in Cincinnati and Covington. We offer tours year round seven days a week and partner with over 60 restaurants and bars. We have a talented team of six tour guides to help!
Guests will ask, can you help me start a food tour? Of course, I will be glad to help. But their dream quickly dies, when they hear the amount of work it takes behind the scenes. We make it look fun and easy. If it wasn’t fun, we wouldn’t be here. The attention to detail and laser focus on customer service pays off with thousand of 5 Star reviews.
We are thankful to God for the opportunity to meet so many visitors and locals on the tours. Our guests enrich our lives and make being a tour guide one of the most rewarding careers in the industry. The history, the architecture, the restaurants and the setting of the Ohio River make this area the perfect backdrop for a food and culture tour!
